NUCLEAR SAFETY WEEK


Nuclear Safety Culture Week is taking place from 13–16 July, with a range of activities designed to promote a strong nuclear safety culture across the project.


Throughout the week, there will be interactive events, webinars, safety messages, quizzes and challenges, as well as the Wheel of WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators) visiting canteens across site.

Immersive Nuclear Safety Culture Experience

🕙 Sessions: 10:00–10:45 & 14:00–14:45

Take part in an interactive session exploring the 10 Traits of a Healthy Safety Culture, followed by a team challenge in the Main Control Room simulation.

Please note: Pre-booking is required and places are limited.


Rules-based Safety vs 'True' Safety Culture

📍 HBS Presentation Room

📅 Thursday 16 July

🕥 10:30–11:30

This session looks at the difference between rules-based compliance and a positive safety culture, why psychological safety matters, and how organisations can assess their safety culture maturity.
