Dear Members,
As we approach our triannual elections, we want to remind you that this is an opportunity to bring in new representatives if you feel the current reps are not fully supporting the best interests of the membership.
Our current representatives are highly experienced. They have a deep understanding of our management, safety team, protocols, and the site reporting tools, which has required considerable time and effort to master. Additionally, they have completed extensive training to support and advocate for the membership effectively.
However, if you feel your interests are not being adequately represented, we encourage you to consider standing for election. Please keep in mind that this is not a full-time role, and it requires a strong foundation in trade unionism, significant experience, and a commitment to serving our members.
Candidates will be required to prepare an address to present to the membership during the election platform. We strongly recommend that only those with the necessary experience and dedication come forward for this responsibility.
