HOST are set to increase the rates on 1st March, this will mean more than a 20% increase and all this during a pandemic! When asked last year for some workers to relocate to the campuses many gave up digs in order to help with the covid 19 situation. This is how you are now being repaid for helping the commuinty and the project.
Unite the Union do not want to see any increase to workers and request for HOST/NNB to forego any price increase and help with the moral of the workers in these tough times.
Furthermore this would also help Bridgwater and surrounding area's as we deal with an unprecedented pandemic as we believe many workers would look to leave the campus and relocate. This would result in workers being in the same position as they were last year with local communities complaining about the potential spread of COVID-19.
